Chair of the Board
Director of Higher Ed. Programming
Born in Taiwan of parents whose roots straddle the Taiwan Strait, Bonnie spent her early childhood in Thailand, then immigrated to the U.S. with her siblings and parents. She's inspired by and grateful to the many people of all races, classes, and genders who have helped open her eyes to the ways that greed, hatred, and ignorance prevent us from seeing one another in the same ways that we see ourselves. Her areas of professional expertise are in higher education—as a university admissions officer and student support services specialist in Massachusetts, and as a college professor, administrator, and teacher educator in California and Maine. Bonnie has served on a number of non-profit boards and continues to volunteer with her local domestic violence resource center and adult education advisory board. When she's not working or volunteering, she loves to spend time with her family, work in the garden, swim, bike, paddle, and hike.
